Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education has announced the first batch of Jiangsu Provincial Vocational Education Dual-Teacher Model Teacher Training Bases. Our college's Marine Engineering and two other water transport-related majors were listed in it.
Provincial-level Dual-Teacher Model Teacher Training Bases serve as crucial platforms for implementing higher-level vocational school teacher quality improvement plans. The selection by the Provincial Department of Education aims to deepen the implementation of the Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of Modern Vocational Education issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, continuously refining methods and models for vocational school teacher training, and further enhancing the construction of a high-quality dual-teacher model teacher workforce.
Being announced as a provincial vocational education dual-teacher model teacher training base reflects our university's commitment during the 14th Five-Year Plan period to develop specialties related to maritime technology and contribute to the construction of a strong maritime nation. Leveraging the distinctive advantages in maritime technology-related program development, our college will advance the construction of the dual-teacher model teacher training bases. This includes integrating educational resources both within and outside the campus, establishing collaborative training platforms with enterprises, focusing on industry integration, and aiming to comprehensively enhance the comprehensive capabilities of vocational school dual-teacher model teachers. Our efforts will align closely with current developments in the shipping industry, industry demands for talent development, changes in industry regulations, and new norms and requirements in industry practices.
Through innovative approaches such as applying Internet+ technologies, we aim to pioneer new models for maritime-related dual-teacher model teacher training, contributing to the rapid development of vocational education, fostering exemplary vocational educators, and promoting high-quality modern vocational education.
